Both Manchester clubs dropped out of the Champions League after finishing third in their groups, and will come up against sides that suffered a similar fate in the form of the Portuguese and Dutch outfits.



Should City go through, they will face either Sporting Lisbon or Legia Warsaw, while United would play the winners between Lokomotiv Moscow and Athletic Bilbao.



Meanwhile, Stoke City host Spanish club Valencia in a difficult draw for Tony Pulis' side, who finished second in their group after suffering defeat to Besiktas in the final game.

Valencia finished third in Group E of the Champions League, after losing a crucial final match against Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

The winner of that tie will face either Trabzonspor or PSV.
