She spent Year's Eve in Miami and the California Gurl singer decided to stay put in L.A., but the two texted each other non-stop.
Now, a source tells The Daily Mirror the ladies are now planning a trip to Mexico for sometime in the next few weeks.
"They are planning a girlie getaway so Katy can clear her head," the source said.
Russell Brand filed for divorce on December 30 after just 14 months of marriage.
